Jarad Poor

Director of Development

Jarad Poor is the Director of Development at CRC Watersheds, where he leads fundraising, partnership-building, and strategic initiatives to support the organization’s mission of environmental conservation and watershed restoration. With a degree in Finance from Drexel University and a minor in Consulting, Jarad is skilled in financial management, strategic planning, and nonprofit development.

Jarad relocated to the Philadelphia area in 2018 with his wife, who was born and raised in the region. Since then, he has developed a strong connection to the local community and environmental issues facing the area. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Jarad’s love for nature and the outdoors has been a guiding force throughout his life. As a former professional skier, he spent much of his time in the mountains and snow, cultivating a deep connection to the watersheds, rivers, and streams that sustain the environment. His lifelong passion for the natural world and his years spent fishing local rivers inspired his commitment to watershed conservation and sustainable practices.

Before joining CRC Watersheds, Jarad gained valuable experience in the development field with several nonprofit organizations. He honed his skills in fundraising, donor engagement, and building strategic partnerships, driving the growth and impact of each organization he worked with. This background in development has made him a key player in securing critical funding and building lasting relationships with supporters and stakeholders.

At CRC Watersheds, Jarad plays a central role in driving the organization’s watershed restoration efforts, which include tree planting, trash cleanup, and environmental education. His leadership is focused on securing the resources necessary to improve the health of local creeks and streams, while also promoting better environmental practices within the community.

Jarad is deeply motivated by the belief that protecting the environment is key to building stronger, more sustainable communities. Outside of his professional work, he remains connected to nature through skiing, fishing, and active participation in environmental advocacy. He continues to volunteer with local groups focused on sustainability, watershed conservation, and protecting the natural landscapes that have shaped his life.
