Title: Director of Development
Classification: FT 40 hrs/week
Reports to: CRC’s Executive Director
Salary: $52,000-$55,000

Job Description:
The Director of Development oversees CRC’s fundraising efforts with a primary focus on cultivating donor relationships and increasing philanthropic revenue. The Director of Development will work alongside CRC’s Executive Director to set fundraising goals, with the core objective of obtaining funding to build CRC’s organizational capacity. The ideal candidate for the Director of Development will be dynamic and creative, both brainstorming and overseeing the implementation of fundraising campaigns, marketing strategy, and community outreach opportunities.
Core responsibilities:
- Act as an ambassador of, and connector to, CRC’s mission through understanding CRC’s need for support and relaying this need effectively to potential donors.
- Cultivate and maintain current CRC donor base and identify new prospective donors
- Develop, execute, and track fundraising strategy and progress in collaboration with Executive Director
- Collaborate with colleagues on database management (specifically Network for Good, a product from Bonterra)
- Assist in the creation of marketing outreach to align with fundraising strategy (campaign letters, email marketing,...)
- Attend in-person community events to network with potential partners as well as assist CRC committees in the implementation of outreach events
- Coordinate with the Board’s Development Committee to strategize donor outreach
- Perform other supporter engagement tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of strategizing and fundraising of major gifts
- Experience in building and cultivating relationships with various stakeholders
- Strong communicator (in both written and verbal formats)
- Strong interest in the conservation of our local environment
Compensation:
Base pay: The range for this full-time position is $52,000-$55,000/year, depending upon experience. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
